In the UK, 12 million adults a year attend a festival, most of them are music festivals but we also enjoy a good literature festival and there are 800 of them a year and they are increasingly diverse. Bare Lit is a weekend of readings and discussions, performances and debates. It’s also the place to discover industry insights, networking and workshops. Bare Lit welcomes everyone to enjoy the work of writers of colour.
Based in the heart of Deptford,The Albany is a performing arts centre with a history stretching back to the nineteenth century. It has emerged as a new type of arts venue, involving participation and partnerships. It is very much driven by the cultural diversity and creative mix of South East London.
